The Health Benefits of Walnuts

Walnuts, often called the 'Mega Nut', are particularly beneficial because they are loaded with alpha-linolenic acid. This acid is an essential omega-3 fatty acid and is highly concentrated in walnuts. In 2002, The Food Nutrition Board of the National Academics’ Institute of Medicine began including omega-3s in their list of recommended daily requirements for good health.
